1.
RENTAL POLICIES
1.1 General Rental Conditions.
1.1.2
All applications must be processed through the Sales Department, which will review the request and,
if there are no questions, submit it for approval. If there are any questions or conflict with a similar
event, the Events Approval Committee will review and/or approve the application.
1.1.3
In order to be processed, all applications must be presented in writing on the appropriate facilities rental
application form, stating the dates required and full details of the event itself.
1.1.4
Delivery of CANCUN CENTER facilities is subject to execution of the corresponding services contract and
Delivery Certificate, under the terms set forth in said documents. CANCUN CENTER reserves the right to
admit the event in case of breach of any of the terms of said documents.
1.1.5
Reserved dates are firm only with signing of the contract and payment of the corresponding advance payment.
1.1.6
It is in the best interests of CANCUN CENTER to optimize use of its facilities, both in terms of space and
of time. However, we will do everything possible to avoid affecting the interests of similar shows that are
already scheduled. Should this type of situation arise, the Customer Service Manager will be empowered to
approve, deny and/or set conditions upon applications.
1.1.7
CUSTOMER SERVICE TABLE OR MODULE
All services required by the client or exhibitor will be provided through the Customer Service Department
located on the first floor of CANCUN CENTER and through a Customer Service module in the area assigned to the
show.
1.2
Rates
1.2.1
Rental rates for the facilities will be those set forth in the contract.
1.2.2
Rental rates for all services will be set forth on the face of the contract.
1.3
Working and Offices Hours
1.3.1
Working hours are from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., 365 days a year.
1.3.2
Set up and Breakdown hours are the same.
1.3.4
Any application for an extension of these working hours must be in writing, and there will be an additional charge.
1.3.5
Administrative Office hours are from Monday to Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. and Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
1.4
Facilities Delivery Certificate
1.4.1
Prior to admitting the event, the Customer Service Manager and the event organizer must do a walk through
of the CANCUN CENTER facilities to verify the state they are in and sign the Facilities Delivery Certificate;
once the event is over, the event organizer is obligated to hand over the facilities and equipment that he/she
rented in the same condition in which he/she received them. CANCUN CENTER's technicians will evaluate any
damage and the cost thereof will be charged to the event organizer.
1.5
Reservations
1.5.1
PRELIMINARY APPLICATION FORM

Cancellations
Cancellations must be in writing and presented to the Sales Department.
The following charges will apply:
- Cancellations up to twelve months prior to the event
15%
- Cancellations from six to eleven months prior to the event 45%
- Cancellations from three to six months prior to the event 75%
- Cancellations up to three months prior to the event 100%
1.7
Food & Beverages
Food & Beverages services are provided exclusively by CANCUN CENTER.
Requests for services must be processed through the Customer Service Manager.
At the request of the organizer, and at CANCUN CENTER's discretion, special food & beverages service areas can be set up.
Food & Beverage Shows open to the public for consumption, or those involving the sale or tasting of Food &
Beverages, must be approved by CANCUN CENTER in writing and pay any charge that is agreed upon, on a case by
case basis.

If the client or exhibitor decides to use outside suppliers for any of these additional
services, the outside supplier must pay CANCUN CENTER a 20% commission on the client's or exhibitor's bill.
1.11
Services Included in the Rate
- Right to use rented space
- Tables, chairs, felt dust ruffle and/or tablecloths according to room rental contract
- General lighting in the full event area
- Air-conditioning during the event, under the terms of the contract, at =/- 22”
- General switchboard operator services during office hours, from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.
- Cleaning services in common areas and bathrooms, including soap, towels, toilet paper and air-freshener supplies.
- Security outside and in common areas
- Access to loading dock during set up and breakdown
- Help with logistics before, during and after the event.
2.
GUIDELINES AND OPERATING STANDARDS
2.1
Approval of Plans.
In order to prevent safety risks and to foster the comfort of event participants,
CANCUN CENTER reserves the right to approve plans for installing modules and distribution of furnishings
and equipment prior to installation. Therefore, the Client is obligated to:
- Submit for approval plans or module distributions plans for rented space, taking into consideration
emergency exits, air-conditioning outlets, fire extinguishers, appropriate use of space and layout of
passageways, which must measure at least 2.40 meters (7.9 feet) in width, for access and circulation.
- Two copies of blueprints or an AUTOCAD file of the plan, which must be drafted at a scale of 1:200,
and must be submitted for approval no later than 30 days prior to the event. It will be returned with
comments or will be accepted in later more than 15 days. Any changes must also be submitted for approval
in the same way.
- The electrical plans must be submitted at the same time, again either in the same 1:200 scale
blueprints or an AUTOCAD file, and they must adhere to the specifications set forth in Point 3 of these
guidelines.
- The electrical plan must include a key of standard symbols.
- The key must follow current technical standards for electrical and telecommunication installations.
- Requirements for telephone, Internet or any other type of electrical or telecommunications line must be included in these plans.
- If plans are not submitted within the time frame set forth above, the organizer accepts that he/she must pay any expenses deriving from extemporaneous review by CANCUN CENTER, and assumes all liability for delays and setbacks that might occur for failure to submit the plans on time.
- CANCUN CENTER reserves the right to cancel any changes in mountings when they are in violation of the specifications set forth on the approved plans, and will have no liability for any incident, costs or consequences resulting from said cancellation.
2.2
Special Telecommunications Services
2.2.1
Any Telecommunications services testing, such as Videoconferencing, dedicated links, etc., must be coordinated with the Systems Manager at least three months prior to the event.
2.3
Spaces and Usage
2.3.1
Loading Dock Area
- Due to the restricted space at the loading dock, loading and unloading of merchandise must be facilitated. Our Security staff will oversee these maneuvers, and the loading dock area must be vacated as soon as maneuvers are completed.
- The loading dock area will be used only for loading and unloading merchandise. Vehicles may remain in the area only as long as necessary to complete their maneuvers. In case of breach, overtime will be charged.
- No trucks, semis, containers, etc. may be parked in this area.
2.3.2
Exterior areas
- There are two parking lots, one in front and the other behind CANCUN CENTER. These are for the exclusive use of private vehicles and cannot be used for exhibits or product sales.
- EPrinted Banners for the event can be hung on the front façade. The Customer Service Manager is in charge of approving space and there is an additional charge for this space and installation of banners.
2.3.3
Meeting and Exhibition Rooms
- No product, material, advertising or propaganda may be exhibited, given away, hung or sold outside of the area occupied by the organizer, including: passageways, bathrooms, parking lots, restaurants, floors, walls, columns, posts, doors, windows, or any other area that is part of CANCUN CENTER's furnishings and equipment.
- At least 50 cms. (19 inches) must be left between the property's walls and 1 meter (39 inches) around any door and any item installed inside the property.
- There is a maximum weight limit of 50 kilograms (approximately 110 pounds) for any item to be hung from CANCUN CENTER's ceilings or structure. Prior approval is required and installation is a service provided exclusively by CANCUN CENTER.
- Hallways: In all cases, the minimum width for passageways left in exhibit areas is 2.40 meters (7.9 feet), in the understanding that once these have been set up and approved in the corresponding plan, they must be kept free of any obstacle and/or additional installations. CANCUN CENTER must provide prior written approval for space, installations and furnishings distribution for special events. Requirements for plan approval may changes, depending on the type of event in question.
- Additional space: If the organizer wants to expand the space he/she has rented, and if there is a room or space available along side the rented space, full charges for this space will be added to the total space rental charges for the number of days occupied
2.3.4
Registration
- The organizer must set up his/her registration area within the area allotted for this purpose by CANCUN CENTER.
- The organizer may use an area for office space, as allotted to him/her by CANCUN CENTER.
2.3.5
Parking
- Parking lots are only for cars and may not be used for [mobile] homes, exhibits or the sale of any product. In addition, CANCUN CENTER will not be liable for any loss of objects left in vehicles, mechanical failure or total or partial theft of vehicles.
2.3.6
Storage
- CANCUN CENTER will provide the organizer and/or his/her subcontractors a place to store boxes, packages, bales or their [personal] items, if needed and if space is available, at an additional charge to the organizer.
2.4
Electrical Power and Installations
- CANCUN CENTER will provide general lighting and air-conditioning services in the rented spaces and areas according to the terms of the Contract and the operating schedule set forth in this manual.
- Additional electricity consumption will cost extra as per the following table:

- CANCUN CENTER reserves the right to remove light bulbs, lamps, devices, etc., from modules that have not first applied for an extension of installed electrical capacity.
- Absolutely no one outside Maintenance Department staff will be allowed access to CANCUN CENTER's electrical installations. Only authorized maintenance personnel may connect module feeder lines to the power source, and only as indicated on the approved plans.
- CANCUN CENTER staff is not authorized to provide personal electrical installations. These should be requested through the Customer Service Department, are subject to availability and will result in an additional charge.
2.4.1
Electrical Network and Installation.
- The organizer is responsible for providing CANCUN CENTER the technical specifications for equipment on display.
- All switches must be thermo-magnetic.
- Cables used to feed outlets and lamps must be heavy duty and of a caliber to support the load.
- If there is any violation of the approved plan during set up, the organizer and/or his/her subcontractor may not continue with installation until the foregoing standards have been met.
- CANCUN CENTER will not be liable for voltage fluctuations or power outages from an outside source.
- CANCUN CENTER recommends the use of power regulators on all electronic and computer equipment.
- In order to protect the facilities against any unnecessary overheating due to unplanned electrical loads and to assure the power supply required for each event, CANCUN CENTER reserves the right to disconnect and remove those light bulbs, lamps, spots or electrical equipment of any nature from modules that exceed the installed electrical capacity.
- During set up and breakdown, only the minimum necessary lighting will be provided within the rented area, and only during the time schedule set forth in this document. Requests for more lighting or power supply time must be submitted to the Customer Service Manager, and the client must accept the additional charge for said supply.
- Any request for additional load capacity/electricity is subject to the approval of CANCUN CENTER.
- CANCUN CENTER must first approve suppliers prior to wiring of areas.
- The organizer promises to rent [enough] outlets and capacity from CANCUN CENTER so the company or contractor in charge of setting up the event may install the electrical connections as per the distribution plan.
- Organizers will be charged for electricity consumption according to the foregoing rates.
- The organizer must hire CANCUN CENTER for electrical installation services required in the ceiling due to the size of the event.
Inspection and Connections.
CANCUN CENTER's electrical department supervisor has the power to inspect any kind of electrical installation undertaken in event stands or for shows, and to undertake final connection to the buildings power source. None of the organizer's exhibitors or electrical contractors may install or connect any electrical apparatus or equipment to the building's power supply without prior authorization from CANCUN CENTER. CANCUN CENTER's electrical department staff will inspect each stand to verify that every electrical connection set up for the event complies with guidelines to insure public and building safety. CANCUN CENTER reserves the right to cut off power supply if CANCUN CENTER's electrical department staff detects anomalies in electrical installations made by the organizer's, display company's and exhibitor's electrical contractors, and if said organizer, display company and/or exhibitor do not make sure that said contractors abide by the instructions given by CANCUN CENTER's electrical department staff.

2.5
Insurance Coverage and Bonds.
- The client must purchase appropriate insurance coverage or a bond for the type of event and according to the terms of the Contract.
2.6
Taxes, Licenses and Permits.

The organizer is responsible for obtaining licenses, permits and authorizations from the corresponding authorities and for payment of duties and tax or other obligations required to hold the event, should this be the case. They must hand over a copy of the foregoing to CANCUN CENTER at least fifteen prior to the event.

If the organizer charges the public for access to the event, he/she must submit a copy of the license to sell tickets issued by the appropriate authorities at least fifteen days prior to the event.
- If he organizer or any exhibitor plans to hold raffles or lotteries, he/she must submit a copy of the corresponding license issued by the Ministry of the Interior.
2.7
Use of CANCUN CENTER'S Name and Image.
CANCUN CENTER will provide the guidelines and specifications for using the logo and all materials for said logo to the organizer for promoting the event. The organizer is obligated to faithfully abide by these guidelines in order to preserve CANCUN CENTER's brand name, trademarks and related items.
2.8
Set up and Breakdown.
- Prior to setting up and/or holding the event, CANCUN CENTER's Customer Service Manager will formally hand over the rented space. In order to do so, both parties must check the condition of the rented space and facilities and fill out the corresponding delivery certificate, as per Point 4 of the rental policies set forth in this manual.
- Once they have finished the walk through, they will write up the certificate and sign it. From that point on, the Client will be allowed access to the facilities.
- The event organizer will be responsible for loading and unloading maneuvers, and he/she must abide by the terms of point 2.1 in this manual.
- Access panels in meeting rooms must be left free of any obstacles in case electrical or telecommunications services are requested. Further, the organizer is responsible for assuring that said access panels do not come in contact with liquids or other materials or objects that might damage them.
- The organizer is directly responsible for receiving and embarking shipments or goods in general, and will only use the loading dock in the back of the building for said purpose. All materials must be inventoried both when entering and leaving the building, as per the requirements of CANCUN CENTER.
2.8.1
Steps to be taken to prevent damage to CANCUN CENTER.
- If a forklift is used, it must have pneumatic tires, a properly functioning electrical motor and mechanical systems that do not leak any liquids, oils or grease, or smoke. The Customer Service Manager will inspect forklifts prior to usage.
- Any heavy equipment or catwalks that are used must be placed on rubber mats or similar materials to protect and buffer walls and floors.
- No machinery such as cutters, compressors, stamping machines, etc. that cause vibrations may be operated within CANCUN CENTER, nor may saws, welding tools or air pistols be used.
- Introduction of food or beverages into exhibition areas or service passageways is strictly forbidden.
- Carpentry, ironwork, brick and mortar work, plumbing, electrical installations, painting or any other similar type of work must be undertaken outside the CANCUN CENTER building. The Customer Service Department may provide an appropriate area for this type of work, at an additional charge, and the area must be returned in the same condition in which it was received. Only prefabricated modules, furniture and equipment may be installed inside.
- No one is allowed to affix nails or screws or to bore holes in floors, soundproof dividing walls, ceilings, columns or walls.
- No installing of carpeting, rugs, publicity or propaganda with glue or adhesive materials that would damage the floors, walls, carpets, signs, windows, etc. is allowed. Carpets or rugs can be installed with double-face tape only.
- Decorating elements or signs that hang inside the meeting rooms can weigh no more than 50 kilograms (approximately 110 pounds). The Customer Service Department must approve installation, which will be undertaken solely by CANCUN CENTER staff at an additional cost.
- The organizer and/or exhibitors are liable for removing all marks and residue left on the floor by materials used in laying out or installing modules.
- CANCUN CENTER reserves the right to remove any installation or merchandise placed in unauthorized areas or areas not included in the distribution plan. Removal charges will apply to the organizer.
- Set up and breakdown times are those set forth in Point 1 of these guidelines. Applications for extensions must be approved by the Customer Service Department and will bear an additional cost.
- Renters and exhibitors are liable for the people they hire to set up and breakdown the event, and must demand they conduct themselves in an orderly fashion in order to avoid damaging facilities or making other clients and/or exhibitors uncomfortable.
- There will be absolutely no smoking within the facilities, nor drinking of alcoholic beverages either inside or outside the building during set up and breakdown.
- The event organizer will be responsible for assuring that people involved in set up and breakdown wear the ID badge provided by CANCUN CENTER.
2.9
Protection of Carpets and Floors.
· The client is obligated to protect CANCUN CENTER's carpets and floors in all those areas where objects such as stages or registration or information modules are set up, or where setting up requires circulation of carts or heavy objects and constant foot traffic of people involved in set up.
· The client will be liable for any damage to carpets during the event or during set up and breakdown. Therefore, we recommend renting a heavy-duty rug to protect the facilities. The Customer Services Department can advise you on this.
2.10
Soundproof Dividing Walls.
- The organizer must take into consideration that it takes 60 (sixty) minutes to place and remove soundproof dividing walls in the Gran Cancún and Cozumel meeting rooms, and 30 minutes in Xcaret, Tulum and Isla Mujeres rooms.
- No items may be hung from soundproof dividing structures (walls, guide rails, etc.) with nails or screws, nor leaned against them.
- There is no charge for removing soundproof dividing walls.
2.11
Motorized Vehicles.
Only vehicles belonging to the organizer's contractors will be allowed access to the exhibit areas for loading or unloading, prior authorization of CANCUN CENTER. Exhibitors cars will not be permitted access. Under no circumstances may any vehicle remain parked in the exhibit area unless an integral part of the exhibit. In this case, the gas tank must be full and under no circumstances will the engine be started within the building. Internal combustion equipment that is part of the exhibit may not be started up.
The Customer Service Manager must authorize use of forklifts for maneuvers inside the facilities. He/she will make sure they use pneumatic tires, that the engine is in good working order and that there are no oil or other liquid leaks. Any refueling required will be done in the loading dock area.
2.12
Medical and First Aide Services.
We recommend the organizer hire medical services for participants during the event.
2.13 Civil Defense
In order to comply with the requirements of law for events held in Cancun, with the help of city officials, Civil Defense measures will be implemented to enhance security in the area surrounding CANCUN CENTER.
Charges to the organizer for this service are based on charges established by the corresponding authorities.
2.14 Courtesy Passes and Sponsorships.
- All courtesy passes and sponsorship of any product or service during the event will be subject to CANCUN CENTER's approval, and the organizer must agree in writing to pay CANCUN CENTER the charges agreed upon, depending on the case.
- Any promotion that is not duly authorized may be removed immediately without liability for CANCUN CENTER.
- CANCUN CENTER reserves the right to admit unauthorized product and/or service suppliers whose past history might directly or indirectly effect the prestige of CANCUN CENTER.

2.15
Labor Liability.
- There will be no labor liability between CANCUN CENTER and the workers or persons providing personal contract services to the organizer, event promoter, or exhibitors, nor will there be any labor liability between CANCUN CENTER employees and the organizer, event promoter or exhibitors.
- CANCUN CENTER employees are not authorized to do any work for the organizer or exhibitors or to receive tips or gifts of any nature for services that CANCUN CENTER is obligated to provide. If the client wishes to give some item to any CANCUN CENTER employees, CANCUN CENTER must give written authorization to do so.
2.16
Damages and Damages Due to Possible Loss of Income.
- Application of policies and guidelines under this point will be made according to the rental policies set forth in this manual.
2.17
Ornaments, Decorations and Signs.
Decorations for each event must be maintained within the area rented by the organizer. The Customer Service Manager must receive the request to place any type of special decoration outside the rented area, such as in hallways and foyers, at least 30 days prior to the first event in order to analyze the request prior to approval. Any promotional, sponsorship or advertising materials (banners, canvas signs, carpets, stickers or similar items) that are installed outside the area rented by the organizer (common areas) will be result in an additional fee for rental of advertising space.
Balloons
Balloons or similar items that require inflating with gas must be inflated with non-flammable gas in order to be admitted and to remain inside CANCUN CENTER. Aerostatic balloons must have the authorization of the Customer Service Department; approval will depend on their dimensions and purpose so they do not interfere with fire and/or smoke detection sensors and systems.
Confetti
Use of confetti for any type of celebration is strictly prohibited.
Scenery
Under no circumstances may scenery obstruct emergency exits, sanitary installations, ducts, fire hydrants, lighting controls, ventilation systems or emergency systems. In addition, a rug must be placed over the entire area to be covered by the scenery to protect CANCUN CENTER carpets.
2.18
Fire Works.
Event organizers wanting to have firework displays during their events must send a detailed description of the fire works included in the display to the Customer Service and Maintenance Departments 60 days in advance so they may determine viability of the request. If the Customer Service Department thinks that a fire works display is feasible, the organizer will be asked to submit a request for the a Use of Fire Works (controlled gun powder) for Public Events in enclosed Facilities permit to the Ministry of Defense, and to obtain Liability Insurance for said event. These permits must be submitted at least 30 days prior to the event, otherwise under no circumstances will CANCUN CENTER allow the organizer and/or contractor to use Fire Works inside the facilities.
2.19
Weight Restrictions
- CANCUN CENTER has a maximum load capacity of 400 Kg x m², and on the ground floor of 800 Kg x cm².
- Vehicles in excess of 3.5 tons are subject to approval by CANCUN CENTER.
2.20
Ticketed/Ticket Booth Events.
If an event requires sale of tickets to the public, the organizer and Customer Service and Maintenance Departments should together decide on the best locations for ticket booths, as well as optimum security measures for them in order to safeguard physical integrity of the visiting public and maintain control over valuables involved in the event. Furthermore, the organizer must pay 10% of the face value of the services supply contract to CANCUN CENTER as a [cut of] ticket income. This must be paid in full at the least 15 days prior to the event.
2.21
Animals and Pets.
At no time (set up, event, breakdown) may any type of live animal or pet be allowed in the facilities, except for the purposes of exhibition or demonstrations and prior written permission from CANCUN CENTER. The organizer must submit vaccination documents for each of the animals and/or pets scheduled for presentation. If the request is approved, the organizer must issue a letter of liability to the Customer Service and Maintenance Departments prior to the event. As an exception, animals trained as security animals or for handicap assistance will be admitted.
2.22
Portable Toilets.
When the event surpasses CANCUN CENTER's sanitary capacity, the ORGANIZER is obligated to rent portable toilets to be set up in outside areas designated by CANCUN CENTER's Engineering and Maintenance Department. Toilets must be maintained clean during the event and be pumped out once a day by the service company providing them, which must be approved by CANCUN CENTER.
2.23
Freight and Merchandise Receipt.
CANCUN CENTER does not have a warehouse. Therefore, it is the organizer's responsibility to notify his/her exhibitors that in case they forget products, materials, merchandise or similar goods after the rental period, they will be charged for storage. Further, CANCUN CENTER will have no liability for forgotten items. This is a precautionary measure against any damages or damages due to possible loss of income that might be incurred.
Additional charges for storing forgotten items or materials, per day or part thereof:

2.24
Smokers Policy.
The Cancun Convention Center is a No Smoking building; therefore smoking is strictly prohibited during set up, the event and breakdown. A smoking area may be designated at client's request.
2.25
Reserve Right of Admission.
CANCUN CENTER reserves the Right to Admit any persons, organizer or exhibitor that does not abide by each and every one of the points in this manual. In addition, CANCUN CENTER, without moral or legal liability or any penalty whatsoever, has the power to deny admission and/or to evict organizers and/or exhibitors whose conduct or past history could in any way affect its prestige.
2.26
Outside Suppliers.
Only those suppliers who have been certified by CANCUN CENTER will be admitted. The Client may request a list of suppliers that have been certified under CANCUN CENTER's quality standards from the Customer Service Department.

3.
BUILDING SPECIFICATIONS
3.1
Passenger Elevators.
CANCUN CENTER has one 20 pax, 1,400 kg. Capacity elevator with access to the ground floor, first, second and third floors.
3.2
Escalators.
CANCUN CENTER has two escalators from ground floor to the first floor, one escalator from the first floor to the second floor, and one from the second floor to the third floor.
4.
FIRE PREVENTION, SAFETY AND SECURITY STANDARDS.
In order to maintain maximum safety levels, we have established the following:
4.1
Safety and Security Standards.
4.1.1
CANCUN CENTER has properly indicated, wide, safe Emergency Exits with direct access to the exterior on each level.
4.1.2
Those in charge of loading and unloading items must wear an ID badge at all times while in CANCUN CENTER facilities. ID badges will be provided at the Security entrance when they register, and they must show a current official photo ID to be admitted.
4.1.3
Moving and Set up staff and suppliers smelling of alcohol are strictly prohibited from entering the building.
4.1.4
Loading and unloading and set up staff must remain in the areas allotted for these activities. If they are found in other areas, they will be removed.
4.1.5
.Loading, unloading or any other of the foregoing activities must be undertaken during pre-established schedules.
4.1.6
Special care must be taken during loading, unloading and set up to maintain floors, stairways and doors free of anything that might hinder free or sufficient access in case of emergency.
4.1.7 Emergency Exits. Under no circumstances may emergency exits be blocked by any object for any period of time, no matter how short.
4.1.8
Special care must be taken during loading, unloading and set up to avoid bumping, damaging, moving or blocking fire extinguishers, smoke detectors, sprinklers, fire hydrants, manual alarms and emergency telephones.
4.1.9
Objects left after the rental period will be removed for storage and delivery under the terms of point 2.25 of this manual, at the request of the person wishing their return and proper identification of the articles in question.
4.1.10
In case more security guards are needed, see point 1.9 of these regulations.
4.1.11 Threat of Bombs or Explosives. Security will be in charge of coordinating evacuation or rescue efforts and of noticing the civil defense department in case of bomb or explosion threats.
4.1.12
Hurricane. If the appropriate authorities give notice to evacuate the area because of the imminent arrival of a hurricane, the building will be evacuated. You may leave your equipment, convention items or materials on site, without liability for CANCUN CENTER.
4.2
Fire Prevention standards
CANCUN CENTER has electronic Intelligent Equipment designed to protect all areas from possible fire damage. The equipment's control panel is monitored 24 hours a day by Security staff. The system includes:
- Smoke Detector Network.
- Automatic Sprinkler Network.
- Emergency Communication Network ("Hotlines").
- Manual Fire Alarm Network.
4.2.1
CANCUN CENTER has 132 portable fire extinguishers to combat type A, B, and C fires. There is also a fire hydrant network with 36 outlets equipped with 30-meter long (98 feet) hoses, strategically distributed on all four levels.
4.2.2
Suppliers and loading and unloading staff are prohibited form smoking in the building.
4.2.3
No one other than CANCUN CENTER staff may introduce flammable substances to the building.
4.2.4
In case of fire, the security department is in charge of coordinating evacuation and rescue activities and for calling city services [fire station].
4.2.5
Please follow security staff instructions in case of fire.
